GMV will renew the ticketing systems and aid for the operation of urban transport in Granada

Madrid, December 16, 2021.-After the acquisition of the company Transportes Rober, SA, which manages urban transport in the city of Granada, the ALSA Group has once again placed its trust in the technology ofGMV, contracting the renewal of ticketing systems and assistance in the operation of the more than 210 vehicles in its fleet.

The supply of new solutions integrated into intelligent transport systems (ITS) includes passenger validators, which will allow users to pay with contactless transport cards, QR codes and EMV cards, physical or emulated on smartphones. Also a website with information on the lines, planned schedules and times of passage by stop. The current panels installed on the street and the automatic and validating sales equipment of the line that runs through the center of the city of Granada will be updated so that they are compatible with the new system and the new forms of payment.

Drivers, for their part, will have new equipment on board. The driver's desk will have voice and data communication with the Control Center, managing the SAE (operation assistance system) functions, sending information about the bus's positioning and service, indicating to the driver his situation of delay or advance, and managing the existing on-board information system, made up of LED screens and a public address system. The control center, thanks to the operation assistance system (SAE), will be able at all times to: know the location of the vehicles, the degree of compliance with the planned services and provide regulation tools to act on the service and improve the quality of it, if necessary. In addition, the system will have an open data interface with web services for the publication of information for possible third-party integrations.

The vehicles will also have an emergency button that will send alerts in the event of any dangerous situation, simultaneously transmitting the ambient sound to the control center. And in certain vehicles, passenger counting devices will also be incorporated. To facilitate inspection tasks, GMV will supply 30 smartphone-type terminals.

The ticketing applications will allow the configuration, exploitation and preparation of reports, as well as their integration with external tools to recharge transport cards through the Internet.
